Abstract

|
The Adams-Stokes syndrome is a transient loss of consciousness due to a sudden decrease of cardiac output, which is caused by various arrhythmia.
The etiology of this syndrome is due largely to complete heart block, but other mechanisms are of supraventricular tachycardia without atrioventricular block.
The etiology, electrocardiographic mechanisms, clinical sign, and treatment of Adams-Stokes syndrome were reviewed in this paper.
